Halbtägige „Herr der Ringe“-Tour im Geländewagen ab Queenstown

I saw two places where two scenes were filmed for the 3 Lord of the Rings were filmed. There were several other places associated with Queenstown. I also learned that I had booked the wrong tour and this 1/2 day tour was not going to focus on Lord of the Rings. My attempt to call your business and learn more before the tour. I did not know your business was not the actual tour business. I am very disappointed because that half day was the only time I had for this tour. The stars are for the tour leader, David, and the other 3 persons on that tour. I did not complain, but decided to have a pleasant drive. I thought I was going on the same tour as my friends,, but on a Viator that left from the same place. At the address for Viator.. To say that I am disappointed is an understatement. This is a solid tour and if you’re looking for a fun off-road Jeep experience whilst seeing some cool sites, this is a fun activity for sure. However given this was marketed as a ‘Lord of the Rings Tour,’ I was quite disappointed that there were only x2 film locations shown as opposed to the x4 mentioned on the description. We didn’t visit the Gladden Fields in Arrowtown or have any explanation of the Fords of Bruinen (just gold panning). But since the headline is LOTR and therefore many people will embark on the tour with mainly this in mind, the above should definitely have been made clearer. In fact the other tour to Glenorchy has a lot more film locations included. The guides are nice people and I still had a fun time, but the advertised description should be more accurate.

It was a very interesting and informative tour led by Justin. Really great for fans and also non-fans and also visit nearby tourist spots. It was amazing to see the shots from the movies while visiting the areas they filmed. We visited Arrowtown, did a bit of gold panning by the river, had morning tea on a beautiful sunny day and explored Skippers Canyon. It was very nice to hear stories about the area and fun facts about LOTR as well. Really recommend to book with Nomad Safaris ????
