Buying the pass was easy. Installing the app was easy. Registering ourselves as users was ridiculously confusing and tedious. We wasted a full half hour fussing with the provided authorizations and voucher number and ultimately had to call customer support. They walked us through a series of steps that were not provided in any email or other communication. This put a damper on the enjoyment of the morning's search. In addition, I would never bother paying for a license for a kid without a cell phone. It's a waste of money if they don't have a smart phone with the app. The challenges were often fun.
My recommendation to the developers is to actually QA the whole process, from signing up through your various partners through the activation process, as if you don't know how to use the app, so you can experience the silliness and frustration for yourselves. While you're doing this, make sure you have two tweens who are begging you to just take them to a park while you're doing it.
