I booked this tour (July 24, 2024) because of the positive experiences I had with Viator last year in Azores and Lisbon, however I was disappointed with this tour. I did expect the tour guide to give some history or talk on Niagara Falls prior to getting there. We had booked the boat ride as well as lunch at Niagara. Upon arrival, the tour guide, who had 3 groups on this particular tour, took those that had just booked the boat ride to go with him, while we, who had also booked lunch, was told to to stay back. When he returned, he realized he had the boat tickets for us, and had mixed up some of the children's tickets with some of the people that had gone with him to take the boat. He sorted out the boat tickets then took us to the restaurant, and told us to meet him back at 4.30pm, leaving only 2 hours to have lunch and the boat ride. When booking this tour, the write up stated that we would arrive back to Toronto at 9pm, so I expected more than just 2 hours at Niagara. By the time we ate lunch, and went down to the boat, we were told that we would not be back before the 4.30pm meeting time, so we were not able to take the boat ride. This was very disappointing- after all this would have been the highlight of the trip - rather than the lunch, which, frankly I do not think gave value for money. I think we should be refunded for these 10 tickets for the boat ride, as we did not get to do this. For future, the tour guide needs to offer the boat ride prior to the lunch, which would be much better, and increase the time at Niagara to at least 3 hours. We arrived back at the hotel around 6pm - much earlier than the 9pm stated - so I fell shorted, and felt that the tour guide was not organized. This was not the great experience we had with Viator in the Azores and Lisbon
