We had an amazing day out on this tour. Got to see so much, and Mattea was a friendly, knowledgeable guide who made the experience more enjoyable. We visited Simpson Gap, Standley Chasm, Ellery Creek, the Ochre Pits, Mt Sonder Lookout, Glen Helen Gorge, and Ormiston Gorge. Simply stunning scenery. Morning tea and lunch were both delicious. Small group tours are much more personal, and I would happily do this tour again if we come back to Alice Springs.

I booked this tour as a solo traveller and was promptly picked up by our friendly guide Kimberley. We stopped to pick up two fellow passengers and were on our way. Each destination was as beautiful as the next. The gorges, the rock formations and lookout points are exemplary of nature's finest artistry, definitely worth seeing. Kimberley was very easy to get along with and she was very knowledgeable. She pointed out many different native plants and had a quick eye for naming the birds that we passed. She was very patient and accommodating, she even made sure I was able to go for a quick swim in the gorges even though it was in the middle of winter. The snacks and the lunch provided were delicious and plentiful. I could not find a fault to this tour. This is highly recommended. Thanks so much for such an incredible day. 17 June 2021

I greatly enjoyed doing this West Macdonnell Ranges tour with Outback Elite. I visited Alice Springs during a very busy time and had read other good reviews about their tours. I emailed them directly to ask about any tours on a particular date and I received a reply very quickly to confirm there was availability. I booked straight away! From start to finish, the tour was extremely enjoyable and well organised. The pick up from the hotel was smooth, and the tour car was very comfortable to ride around in from site to site. Our tour guide Kimberley was attentive to the 3 of us on the tour. She gave helpful information on each of the sites we visited as well information on local flora and vegetation we saw at each site with photo pamphlets to check as well. The morning tea and lunch provided was set up with great care and was fresh and tasty. The freshly brewed coffee was a definite hit with us along with the baked treats. The number of sites we visited hit the right balance along with the time at each location. Kimberley never hurried us and allowed a comfortable amount of time to climb to a lookout at Ormiston Gorge. She was friendly and warm and looked out for each of us throughout the day. I loved the tour and everything about it. I would highly recommend this tour and company to anyone who wants to see these beautiful sites in the West Macdonnell Ranges or others just outside of Alice Springs in one day and with a thoughtful tour guide.
