This was a great day. Pick-up was right on time. Our tour guide was wonderful. I like that we had options to do different things during the day. The highlight for me was the hike. Some other people on our tour decided not to do the hike and they arranged it so that both groups could do what they preferred (and our tour guide for the hike was also wonderful). The butterfly haven had far more butterflies than I was expecting, honestly. I enjoyed the meal at the restaurant. The thermal springs location was rustic and a fabulous ending after the hike and the tour. If you don't have a towel for the springs, you can buy an inexpensive one at the market during the lunch break.

The area is beautiful but for the price there is not much to do/ see. There are a few frogs in a tank of you choose to do that. The square tree path was a nice walk but we only saw 2 square trees. The area is only 2 hours away and small so an Uber could have possibly been less than what we paid to be dropped at these locations to then pay our own entrance into. ( definitely could find a driver or rent a car for one day and do this yourself)The hot springs is worth the trip if in the area but again not huge. ) 1 pool and a small one for feet while mask is on.it is scenic, the market and restaurant next to market were nice. Same handicrafts as in the city but nice to have all in one place next to a reasonable and really good restaurant. Fish filet , salad , plantains rice and beans for $7.

My guide, Abel was FANTASTIC. He recommended excursions that matched my personality. His knowledge and eagerness to share was beyond expectations. Thanks to Abel, this has been the best part of my 8 day vacation.
