Tour nach Machupicchu 2 Tage mit dem Zug

Me encantó todo, Edward Huaman fue nuestro guía, fue genial como guía, compartió sus conocimientos históricos excelentemente y fuimos tratados super bien, lo recomiendo ???? %. Gracias Edward y Nixon????

Muy recomendados, si quieren tener la mejor experiencia no duden en contratar a esta empresa, éramos un grupo de seis y todos quedamos muy satisfechos y fue una experiencia mágica. Nixon fue muy atento y cumplió con todo lo que prometió, siempre fue muy amable y sin él no hubiera sido posible realizar este tour de la manera que lo realizamos. Sin duda los volveríamos a contratar!!

The Sacred Valley tour, train to Aguas Calientes, and Machu Picchu were all wonderful, but our experience with Mega Expeditions was a bit different than expected. I would like to post our experience so others can at least know what to expect. We paid them to coordinate the entire trip from Cusco and I did not realized we would be alone in this particular trip (I thought we would be going with a group between the various tours). We were never sent a complete email itinerary with all of our tickets at once (like for the train and Machu Picchu entrance), it was all just communicated via a zoom meeting and then Whatsapp once we were in Cusco. Nixon was very quick to respond in Whatsapp and provided helpful information to our questions, but we felt like having more information upfront with an itinerary written out of everything that would happen would be better. For example, having the tickets all sent beforehand with the name of our hotel, dinner restaurant, and guide names in Aguas Calientes would have been much better and avoided a lot of unnecessary stress and communication during the actual trip. We were supposed to receive our train tickets the night before we left but did not, and did not receive them until we were already on the Sacred Valley tour. They then had to send our tickets to our tour guide to make sure we had them in time for the train departure. I had to log onto our tour guide's wifi during the brief lunch time to make sure I could download our tickets. It was stressful because the time for everything on the tour is very short and somewhat rushed. Then once we arrived in Aguas Calientes, the person who met us at the train was not the person Nixon had told us it would be (Manuel). She did not know anything about who our guide would be and did not know where Manuel was or when he would meet with us, even though Nixon said he would meet us at the hotel at 7 pm. We had to get Manuel's number from Nixon and contact Manuel via WhatsApp, then walk 3 blocks to a random restaurant and Manuel met us there. Side note: the food for dinner at this tourist restaurant was poor compared to the amazing food in Peru. Manuel gave us instructions for the morning and told us to be in the entrance of Machu Picchu at 6:50 am, no later than 7 am because the tour would enter the park at 7 am sharp. We arrived at 6:45 am and no one was there for us. We waited until 7 am then decided to enter to see if the guide was inside. (Manuel never gave us the names of the other 2 guides we might have, so we didn't even know who to look/ask around for). Once inside we continued to wait and finally heard a guide outside call our names, but he was still waiting for people at 7:10 am. We were frustrated by the guide being late when we were given such strict instructions so we ended up going through Machu Picchu by ourselves and I am glad we did. It's possible that this is the way most tour companies operate this tour, but personally I felt like the whole process could have been much more organized to make for a smoother trip. Just an email with clear and organized instructions regarding each step would have made everything so much easier for both us and Mega Expeditions. Including a map of Aguas Calientes to clients would also be helpful, so people know how to find the hiking trail to Machu Picchu the next day at 5 am. We had to figure out a lot of things on our own and in the moment.
