I was a little apprehensive about taking this tour but plunged ahead and boy, am I glad we did; it was honestly the most fun we’ve had on our entire trip. We booked a night tour. Manich and Kanha picked us up at our hotel and off we went. They were very careful drivers on the Vespas and we trusted them completely. We did a sunset river cruise, went to a local night market where we had some street food and ate along side locals on mats at the market. It was a real experience, not a touristic one. We stopped by a park where teens go to do line dancing; that was also very authentic and real. Finishing the night at a sky bar overlooking the lights of the city was magical. The ladies were very forthcoming as we asked about their lives in Cambodia. We learned a lot and felt like we got a real feel for life in Phnom Penh; the city came alive to us on this tour! We did the NIGHT TOUR. Since travelling SE Asia for over 15 days - we can honestly say this was the very BEST experience we have had. The two young ladies MANICH & KANHA showed up promptly at 5 PM and instructed us on the art of riding the Vespa with them. Walked us through the schedule and off we went. Firstly we are in our very late 50's so had initial concerns about riding through this vibrant city on the back of a scooter. NO PROBLEM! The girls are skilled drivers, provided helmets and we felt so safe and secure zipping around the streets, alleys and sights and sounds of this amazing city. Not only that - it is ENORMOUS FUN & we felt like kids again. Did I mention their English is superb and knowledge of local life, history and culture unparalleled. We learned so much about the country and the people and the history - all the while having a blast. First stop was a sunset cruise on the main river system. Glorious. Then off to the NIGHT MARKET for a walk around and local street food. DELICIOUS! Then more street food and a visit to an outdoor area where the teens of PP all come together to dance HIP HOP! Brilliant. Across the street some typical dessert.,..then off to the amazing SKYBAR - on top of a skyscraper & open to the stars for cocktails. Most of all we felt like we got to know the city and her people. This was the most authentic and enjoyable local experience we undertook and we cannot praise MOTOGIRL and the ladies more thoroughly. It gave us a totally new perspective on the city and was in diametric contrast to the tired old guide who hauled us around by day with a rote patter aimed at pleasing tourists. The girls are bright as whips, University Graduates and so passionate and fun they got us up and dancing! Treat yourself to an unforgettable experience and help empower young women here in PP. It is win win and worth every penny! We were sad to say goodbye to our new friends Manich and Kanha. Thank you for the best night ladies. We miss you guys already!
