What a breathtaking and gorgeous resort. The grounds are spectacular- clean and beautiful. The staff is friendly and helpful! We always felt welcomed and all staff was kind!
We had a family suite (two rooms) with 3 young kids (ages 12, 9 and 7) so we were required to book a family suite and spent double what our friends spent (one less 7 year old child- a family of 4 vs 5). We had a musty room on the ground floor, and when asked to change rooms, there was no option. We couldn’t be moved because of the connecting room configuration. Spending this much on a room ($7700) should get you more view or perks than it did. We didn’t spend much time in the room, though, so it didn’t ruin our trip.
The restaurant reservation process (or lack of) was terrible. of the few restaurants on site, a few were closed each night and each restaurant was over an hour wait unless you waited in line at 5:45. Once in a restaurant, the service was excellent and the food was delicious. Juan at tres colores, Ricardo at Fusion and David at the Mermaid bar were exceptional. I wish there were more evening restaurants/casual places to relax. I also wish that Kids Club and Core club had more evening activities for kids.
Overall, we had a wonderful vacation and would consider returning to Dreams. Sitting in the pool with a drink in hand staring at the ocean in the distance was pure bliss and the staff couldn’t be kinder. It was paradise!
