Our guide was Jackson (ask for him) and his knowledge of the area is astounding. He knew all the places in the park where wildlife is usually spotted and went out of his way to cater to our requests. He arrived promptly at 6:00 am while it was still dark and offered us an array of snacks as well as water and soft drinks before we got started. He knew the latest on where wolves, bear and elk had been seen and we spent the day moving from place to place in hopes of seeing something new for us. We saw elk, pronghorn, and bison (they tend to be everywhere in the park). The bear and wolves eluded us even though we were able to access the slough creek area and 6 miles of the Lamar Valley that isn't open to the public. We stopped for lunch which had been prepared with our likes/dislikes in mind. When all known wildlife locations were exhausted Jackson took us to parts of the park we hadn't seen and has a wealth of information about all of the land formations, geothermal features and the history of the park. When our day was over he returned us to our meeting location. Would definitely do this again.
