This was hands down the worst trip of my life. I booked a full package with Yattri, which was supposed to cover Varanasi, Vrindavan, Mathura, and Agra. Unfortunately, the entire experience was a disaster. Before the tour, Yattri provided a long list of attractions and activities in the itinerary, promising to cover them all in just five days. As a first-time visitor, I trusted them to guide me properly. However, it quickly became clear that their itinerary was completely unrealistic. We ended up missing 80% of the promised sights. I felt misled from the start. The hotel in Varanasi was another disappointment. It barely met the standards of a 3-star hotel and was located far outside the city center, in a desolate area with hardly any dining options nearby. It felt isolated and uncomfortable. Then there was our so-called "guide" in Varanasi. He lacked any sense of professionalism or planning. Instead of helping us make the most of our limited time, he acted more like a mere driver, leaving us to figure out what to do on our own. I expected guidance and expertise but got none of that. It was a complete waste. The worst part of all was in Agra. I had made it clear to Yattri that the sole reason for adding Agra to my itinerary was to do a pre-wedding shoot at the Taj Mahal. But when we reached Agra, we were shocked to find out that the Taj Mahal was closed that day. We had no choice but to cancel our shoot. When we raised this issue with Yattri, they kept us hanging until 2 a.m., giving us fake email addresses to complain to and feeding us false information. They completely ruined our night. To add insult to injury, instead of offering a fair reimbursement or extending our trip as requested, they only refunded the Taj Mahal entry fee—a mere ₹500. Is my pre-wedding shoot worth just ₹500 to them? They even stopped answering our calls when we asked them to help with new travel arrangements. I strongly urge everyone to avoid Yattri if you don’t want to waste your time, money, and peace of mind. They are nothing but scammers who care nothing about customer satisfaction. Don’t let them cheat you like they did me!

Sonny was a great host and tour guide. From having his driver meet us at the airport and taking to the hotel where we met Sonny and headed to the Ganges River to participate in the spectacular event of sunset boat ride where thousands of people were there. The next morning Sonny met us at hotel at 6:30 to experience sunrise along the Ganges and again seeing thousands bathing in the holy waters. After a 2 hour breakfast and break, Sonny picked us up and we did a car tour of the highlights on Varanasi included many sites and temples. We also went to a silk factory and saw classic silk weaving machines and of course had to buy some unique silk items to bring home. We then had a classic lunch together and the tour day was over. The next morning Sonny was in the lobby to make sure we got to our driver to take us back to the airport. Sonny was a great guide, took his time with us and made sure we got a full taste of Varanasi in 39 hours. We wanted to come to Varanasi as part of a multi week tour of India. We found this 3 day tour with Sonny and scheduled it. When we arrived at the airport the driver was there to meet us and we drove in congested traffic but met Sonny waiting for us at the hotel. We walked to the river and it was an awesome view of the multitude of people there for sunset by the river. He arranged for a boat to take on a once in a lifetime experience. He took his time and let us experience the majestic views and surroundings. He brought us back to the hotel and told us he’d meet us in the morning at 6:30 am for the sunrise cruise. In the lobby at 6:30 we walked us back to the Ganges River, walked among the masses and then got on a boat to experience sunrise along Varanasi’s unique shoreline. When we came back to hotel for breakfast and relaxation until 10:30 when we started our city driving tour. Sonny took us to the highlights of the university and the many temples throughout the city. We also went to a silk factory and saw traditional silk looms in action and then of course to the shop where beautiful fabrics were displayed for us and a few purchases. After tours and shopping we had lunch together and then our time was over. His driver will pick us up in the morning and take us to the airport to depart. This overall experience was as outlined and exceeded our expectations. Sonny is a great tour provider and will make your time in Varanasi memorable. He was prompt and knowledgeable and took good care of us.
