My guide was great, took me to see the church and to the Paris mall and to an area near the Panara river to take pictures. Not much to see there as of attractions. It’s not a touristy place, most of the shopping is of basic everyday stuff so 3 to 4 hours is plenty of time there or for some too long. If you are looking for a little souvenir to take home there is a kiosk in the Paris mall on the main floor right when you enter, that sells Paraguay magnets and key chains for about 5 US that was all I found that was tourist related. Not much touristy stuff on the street stores as well. Also if you plan to just use cash there make sure to bring some Brazilian currency. Cafes and smaller stores do not take US dollars. For those English speaking only tourists this might not be for you since not many people speak English there so communication may be difficult. If you do go make sure you have someone that speaks Spanish or Portuguese with you.
