The best way to know a place is to Walk the alleys and the best man for it in Darjeeling is Anirban with his Colonial Heritage Walk. We visited Darjeeling in the rains and Anirban took us through the times with his commentary and we visited places not accessible to common tourists, had glimpes of hidden nuggets (some unfortunately neglected, but of heritage value) , visited the local market and had Tibetan snacks - Tingmo and Butter Tea at a quaint Tibentan restaurant. The three hours flew by and we emerged enriched at the end of it.
Certainly recommend the Walk for people who want to learn little more about Darjeeling apart from the touristy photo-ops with Glenry's and Kevy's. Keep up the good work Anirban - hope to join you again in some of your many Other Walks.
