My husband and I had a fantastic time in Akagera,it was one of the highlights of our holiday in Rwanda.Our guide Miss Liz was knowledgeable,polite and eagle-eyed to give us the best experience with her team of Phoenix Tour and Travel Co. Nothing beats nature, we enjoyed it though we didn't get to see some of the big 5 like lions and Leopards hopefully next time but we managed to see the Elephants,zebras,Impalas,buffaloes,gorillas,monkeys giraffes,crocodiles and many species of birds.Akagera is stunning with plenty of beautiful views of lakes,mountains and plains all situated within the park. We liked our stay at Akagera Game Lodge in the park though the noise of the small monkeys on top of the roof was not what we expected and hoping it will be checked in future because it can make it hard to sleep besides that we loved the game drive led by Mr Clement who worked tirelessly and effectively to give us the best experience. The boat trip on the lake was thrilling fun,such an incredible scenery and wildlife because we managed to see the exotic birds and lolling hippos.the Akagera team were hospitable,meals were nice,generally the whole extraordinary adventure,thanks to Phoenix Tour and Travel Company.
