Private und flexible Tour Machu Picchu ab Aguas Calientes, Peru

The guide simply didn't show up. There was a train strike, but we had made it into Aguas Calientes the day before. So we waited for the guide at our agreed upon date, time and place, and when they were late, we sent them a WhatsApp message to check in. They said they thought we weren't going to make it so they weren't coming. They hadn't emailed, called, texted or WhatsApp'd ahead of time to tell us. They just didn't bother showing up or reaching out in any way. They asked if we'd be willing to reschedule to 6am the next morning - we could not. We asked if they could just take a bus and meet us at the gate. They claimed the buses stopped working. We had to scramble and found a guide last minute, who oddly enough was able to take the bus and met us at the front. Not the experience I would ever wish on anyone for a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Incredibly unprofessional and stressful

Wir hatten eine private Tour für 55 Dollar pro Person. Daniela war schnell, beantwortete alle unsere Fragen und ging tatsächlich im Laufe der Zeit. (Ursprünglich wurde angenommen, dass es 2,5 Stunden waren und es näher an 3 Stunden endete). Sie kannte den besten Ort für Fotos und insgesamt war ihr Englisch ziemlich gut. Sie war zuvorkommend und ließ unsere kleinen Vorlieben von ihrem Rücken rollen. Daniela sagte, das Wichtigste für sie sei, dass wir unsere Tour genossen hätten. und wir haben es getan.

We booked this tour prior to arriving in Peru so we wouldn't have to deal with finding a guide at the entrance, and we're very glad we did. Victor was an amazing guide, and helpful throughout. He met us the night before our visit at our hotel and explained everything about the next day. He made some really good recommendations on when to arrive for the bus and other logistics. He met us again at the buses in the (early) morning, and rode with us to the top. Throughout the tour, he was great at answering every one of our questions. He is incredibly knowledgeable about the history, and never rushed us. We had a couple of people in our group that couldn't climb all the stairs, so he provided alternatives for those people while the rest of the group did the full tour. Overall, we left Machu Picchu with a great appreciation and a lot more knowledge.
