Tour Praia do Forte und Guarajuba, Abfahrt von Salvador-Bahia.

Leider muss ich sagen, dass die Beschreibung der Tour und die Realität nur im entferntesten miteinander zu tun haben. Dazu kommen organisatorische Mängel und Unannehmlichkeiten, die nicht durch die Beschreibung des Veranstalters absehbar sind. Ohne Zweifel ist die Tour für Personen geeignet, die gerne den Großteil des Tages im gekühlten Bus verbringen möchten. Denn allein die Anreise war für alle, die als erstes abgeholt wurden 3,5 Stunden lang. Alleine das Einsammeln der Mitreisenden nahm einen Großteil der Zeit ein. Wir starteten um 7 Uhr morgens und erreichten unser Ziel um 10:30 Uhr. Der Tourguide machte die Anreise mit Humor zwar erträglicher, jedoch wurden wir an unserem ersten Stopp direkt im Stich gelassen. Wir wurden statt in das beschriebene „alte Fischerörtchen“ in ein Auffanglager für gestrandete Touristen gebracht. Dort reihen sich überteuerte Läden dicht an dicht. Diejenigen, die sich das „Schnorchelerlebnis“ nicht entgehen lassen wollten wurden von der restlichen Gruppe getrennt und an einen Strand getrieben, wo halbherzig desinfizierte Taucherbrillen warten. Das Erlebnis fand schlussendlich an einem überlaufenen Strandabschnitt im kniehohen Wasser statt. Hastig werden in einer Massenabfertigung Fotos mit den Teilnehmern und den extra angelockten Fischen gemacht - Eine klassische Touristenabzocke. Danach wurden wir wieder uns selbst überlassen. Es gibt keine richtigen Umkleiden und die einzig verfügbare Dusche fanden wir auf Nachfrage am anderen Ende der Anlage. Das Schildkrötenprojekt befindet sich ebenfalls inmitten dieses Touistenspektakels. Leider bekamen wir keine Führung in englischer Sprache - stattdessen durften wir uns Schildkröten in für mein Empfinden viel zu kleinen Poolanlagen ansehen. Eineinhalb Stunden später wurden wir in 30 Minuten zum nächten Touistenprogramm gebracht. Mittagessem in „speziellem Restaurant“. Das Restaurant war keines Falls schlecht, jedoch ein klassisches brasilianisches Restaurant, welches eine derart lange Anreise nicht rechtfertigt. Dafür sind die Preise merklich an Touristen angepasst und liegen im Gegensatz zur Qualität des Angebots über dem Durchschnitt. Dazu muss ich vermerken, dass dies die erste Möglichkeit an diesem Tag war etwas zu essen. Für den Strand blieb nicht mehr all zu viel Zeit, bevor es nach 2h Aufenthalt die 3,5 Stunden wieder zurück ging - Diesmal mit verstummtem Reiseführer. Alles in allem würde ich den Tag nicht mehr wiederholen und auch keinesfalls weiterempfehlen. Sehr schade …

First, the positive: Our tour guide Fito was fantastic – friendly, humorous, and always trying to make the day more enjoyable. Unfortunately, that was the only memorable highlight of this tour. The biggest issue: The tour description gives the impression of a relaxing bus trip where you get to discover authentic Brazil. In reality, you’re simply shuttled from one tourist trap to the next. The supposedly relaxing ride along the “Coconut Road” to Praia do Forte turned into a two-hour tour of Salvador to pick up other passengers, followed by an additional 1.5-hour drive to the actual destination. That’s 3.5 hours of travel one way – and if you do the math, you’ll realize that the same route must be taken back. In total, that means 7 hours on the bus for just 5 hours at the ddstinations. Of this lenghty route, nothing is mentioned in tje description. But hey, i ordered a bustrip and I got one I guess... At the first destination, Praia do Forte, we expected a charming Fisherman’s Village - as described. Instead, we found a tourist strip full of overpriced restaurants, souvenir shops, and pushy promoters. Another major downside: no one at the location spoke English – unacceptable for a place so heavily focused on tourism. Even more disappointing were the activities offered during the bus ride by our tour guide. Believing these were organized highlights of our booked tour, we opted for the snorkeling activity and the TAMAR sea turtle project. While the TAMAR project was fine and seemed legitimate, the “snorkeling” experience was a complete joke. It involved sitting in 20 cm of shallow water with a snorkel mask, watching a few fish swim by – something that can hardly be called snorkeling. In hindsight, it became clear that these activities were overpriced promoter offerings that no one would normally consider, had they not been sold on the bus by our tour guide himself. The second stop in Guarajuba was equally disappointing. Although the beach was beautiful, the two-hour stay was far too short to enjoy it properly. The “excellent seaside restaurant” turned out to be a basic tourist joint with plastic chairs, bright neon decorations, and once again, no English-speaking staff. To top it off, three people in our group later suffered from stomach issues – while we can’t say for sure if it was due to the food, there’s reason to suspect it. Conclusion: This tour promises an authentic experience but delivers nothing more than a typical mass tourism shuttle with overpriced, misleading add-ons. Language barriers, poor logistical organization, and the stark contrast between the advertised description and the actual experience made this tour a major disappointment. If you’re looking to discover the real Brazil, this tour isn’t for you. The only saving grace: our wonderful guide Fito.

Praia do Forte um destino cada vez mais preparado para receber o turista. Paisagem linda, Projeto Tamar e tantas outras atividades pra fazer. O guia Tiago foi fantástico e muito atencioso conosco e com todo o grupo. O passeio diz ser acessível e minha filha o fez com cadeiras de rodas sem problemas e fomos bem auxiliadas pelo guia e motorista.
