San Antonio: E-Bike-Tour mit Wandgemälden, Straßenkunst und verborgenen Schätzen

We enjoy trying new experiences in the different cities that we visit around the United States. This past week we visited San Antonio, Texas. When researching some of the different tours offered in the area, one caught my eye, Mural Ride Bike Tours. Our tour started with the introductions of our tour guides Brian and Erica, a fun couple that live locally and are part of the downtown fabric of San Antonio. After some safety conversation and equipment dispersal we were ready to go. The ride was not difficult, the average rider would have no problem taking part in this riding tour. Brian’s use of a microphone was much appreciated by all. We spent the next two hours admiring , discussing and learning about the murals and the artists involved in creating these pieces of art around town. Brian and Erica know most of the artists and are actively involved with the San Antonio Street Art Initiative. I came away from our tour having a great appreciation for all of the people involved in adding this beautiful arts to the many areas around town. My wife and I both agreed that it was a joy to experience the passion that Brian and Erica put into their rides, the local art/murals and the city that they call home. I really enjoyed learning more about the murals. Our guide was very knowledgeable. Riding on the streets was safe, especially when our guide repeated instructions such as "Clear" or "Slowing" three times. That helped understand what was about to come up ahead of us.

We've taken bike tours on different vacations over the years but this one was hands down the best. This is the only tour I've taken where the guide wore a speaker that enabled the whole group to hear the tour information and safety instructions. Instead of a straight history of the city of San Antonio, Brian discussed the history of the mural movement in the city and how various artists became involved. A lot of info on the specific murals was given also. He included tips on different events and activities in the area for the tourists in the group. Brian has a great personality, works hard to make sure everyone is safe and shows a genuine enjoyment of what he does. You can't go wrong with this tour.
