For what was known to be a comfortable trek to the Waterfall of Love, may not be so easy for someone who is elderly or not so fit. It's a lovely hike with peaceful scenery as you pass by gurgling brooks and breathe the clean oxygenated air of the forest. Of course, I had to stop several times to take photos and videos the beautiful forest and streams.
Take your time going up or down the steps and rocks. Although it wasn't raining the day I went, but still the air is moist and some rocks slippery with moss or algae. I slipped twice and was lucky to have a handrail to grab onto. Wearing trekking shoes with deep studs didn't help on those concrete steps or rocks. My guide said it was better to wear shoes with softer soles but with deep studs to better navigate the journey. Some steps are quite steep going up or down so better to proceed slowly with caution.
The Love Waterfall is worth the journey, as it is quite tall and majestic. The roar of the waterfall will make you forget your tiredness before your return journey.
