Su Nuraxi von Barumini Welterbe UNESCO-Stättentour

The tour was amazing! Maggie/Maggy was a brilliant guide! She was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and very funny! We were very impressed with the sites we were shown and the information that was relayed! As a small group we found the dedication was tailored to us perfectly. We had as much time as we wanted at the three sites, we didn’t feel rushed and we could investigate and take in as much as we wanted to. I would thoroughly recommend the tour to people of all ages, although some of the access to some of the ruins were tight, low or steep. But you don’t have to go in them to enjoy them and the stories and secrets (that are still being discovered) gave a real flavour to the mysteries of Sardinia! Maggie/Maggy was brilliant!!

Durante la nostra visita al sito UNESCO di Barumini siamo rimasti profondamente colpiti dalla straordinaria bellezza e complessità del Nuraghe Su Nuraxi, un capolavoro architettonico della civiltà nuragica. La visita è stata resa ancora più speciale grazie alla nostra guida Susanna, una professionista appassionata e incredibilmente preparata, che ci ha accompagnati in un vero e proprio viaggio nel tempo. Con grande chiarezza ed entusiasmo, Susanna ci ha spiegato non solo la struttura del nuraghe e le sue funzioni difensive, abitative e simboliche, ma ci ha anche trasmesso l’anima di un popolo affascinante e ancora in parte misterioso. Ogni dettaglio, ogni pietra prendeva vita attraverso il suo racconto: un’esperienza coinvolgente che ci ha fatto sentire parte della storia. La visita è proseguita a Casa Zapata, un museo moderno e ben allestito, costruito sopra i resti di un altro nuraghe, il Nuraxi ’e Cresia. Anche qui siamo stati accompagnati da una guida preparata che ha saputo guidarci con competenza tra reperti archeologici, installazioni multimediali e testimonianze storiche, offrendoci una visione completa e suggestiva del territorio. Barumini è un luogo unico, ma è grazie a persone come Susanna che il patrimonio culturale diventa accessibile, comprensibile e soprattutto emozionante. Consigliamo vivamente questa visita a chiunque voglia scoprire le radici più profonde della Sardegna.

Andrea was our guide for a small group tour of Su Nuraxi of Barumini and nearby sites. Barumini is amazing and the tour was fascinating. Andrea is very personable and knowledgable. He pointed out interesting things on the drive north from Cagliari to Barumini, including beautiful murals in a town along the way. He explained what life was like for the peoples of Barumini. I learned there were many invasions and conquests. However, the cultures merged over time. Andrea also identified a number of trees in the area, a particular interest of mine. Overall, it was an excellent day!
