We chose to visit Melaka AKA Melacca as it is listed as a Unesco World Heritage historical city. We chose this private service to get us from Singapore to KL because of their stop at Melaka in between. 11 am was the time of our hotel pick up and our first driver, Raja, was there before then. Traffic wasn’t super bad. The border check required us to show our passport twice at two stops as we left Singapore into Malaysia. Once there we had a new driver, Nakin. He was the one who provided much more information regarding Melaka and later Kuala Lumpur. The stop at Melaka comprised of one stop at the St. Peter’s church and then Nakin gave us several options but we decided it was best to take two hours to explore what we could in the viscinity of the red square at the next stop. It was super hot when we got there around 315 PM, but we kept trekking to see as much as we could in the two hours allotted. Nakin assured us it was okay if we went a little over. We never felt pressured and had open communication through WhatsApp when out of the car in Melaka. I would recommend hitting up the museums first as they may close by 430 pm. We found a yummy small restaurant to cool off and eat towards the end of our time and then messaged Nakim who was parked near square waiting on us.
During the road trip, Nakin was able to stop anytime we needed for a toilet break and he got us everywhere with punctuality. Overall, the ability to visit Melaka was worth this private tour. The landscape from Singapore to Melaka was nothing special, but we took the time to rest and talk about the local culture. We would recommend you consider this private tour if you’re looking to visit Melaka from Singapore and you’re headed to KL. And lastly we arrived in KL around 8 PM safe and sound.
