We first went to a market, and all the types of vegetables were shown to me. As I'm vegetarian, we skipped the fish market and ecen made everything vegan! Then, I was allowed to choose five, from which we would each make a dish. I chose sweet potato, beetroot, okra, dal curry (lentils), and eggplant. From these, we then made sweet potato curry, beetroot curry, okra curry, dal curry, and a salad of fried eggplant, tomatoes, and onions. Additionally, there was red rice, papadam (those fried crackers), and caramelized onions. I even hollowed out a coconut myself and made coconut milk. Everything was relatively simple to make and basically consisted of onions, garlic, curry, and a few other spices, but nothing extraordinary or complicated. And it was sooo incredibly delicious ????????????. It was definitely incredibly worthwhile and one of the highlights. The cooking instructor was also incredibly sweet, and it was just a great time!
