3 Tage Serengeti & Ngorongoro Gruppe Camping Safari

Very cool experience seeing the animals up close - I still recommend bring binos if you have a decent pair, and a camera too. I chose a short 3 day safari with camping and I think that was the perfect choice for me. We ended up seeing all of the big 5 (although the leopard was a bit further in a tree) and the camping experience was very positive. I travelled solo, but there were many other young people so easy to make friends along the way, especially at camp where you can have dinner with other safari groups. Our (Maasai) driver was very good and we made good ground - it's a long drive over bumpy roads (no asphalt). The camp at Serengeti was one of my favourite bits as the view of the night sky is probably the best you'll ever see. The Milky Way is clear and just laying there I spotted quite a few meteors. Some other people I met stayed up and we got some cool astrophotography shots. The camp at Ngorongoro was also nice, but much colder. I recommend a coat! In both places the food was good and plentiful, and there was a choice of single/double tents.

From start to finish, our experience with Suricata Safari exceeded all expectations. The moment we landed in Arusha (even with our flight delayed), a friendly team member from Suricata was there to greet us and drive us to a nice hotel, where we were given a helpful briefing to prepare for our adventure. The next day, we met our guide, Elias — and what a guide he was! Elias truly made this safari unforgettable. He knew exactly where to go and when, always finding the best spots and the most incredible animals. Thanks to his deep knowledge and intuition, we were lucky enough to see every single animal we had hoped for — even a rhino, though from afar (which we were told is very rare!). What we appreciated also was Elias’s respect for the animals and their environment. He never left the designated paths or lingered too long near the wildlife, yet always gave us time to observe them up close in a peaceful and natural way. We were 6 people in the safari vehicle — a perfect number. The seats were spacious and comfy, with large windows and an open rooftop for full safari vibes, just like in the movies! The food? Absolutely delicious! Every meal — from breakfast to dinner — was freshly prepared by our amazing camp chef. I’m vegetarian, and Suricata made sure every meal suited my needs without compromising on taste. It was flavorful, hearty, and full of variety. We spent one night in the Serengeti and another at the top of the Ngorongoro crater. Both camps had clean toilets and showers, and sleeping in a tent under the stars, surrounded by wildlife, was simply magical. When we returned, Suricata welcomed us back with a debrief session to hear our feedback, plus a final night at a hotel and a taxi ride to the airport the next morning — such thoughtful service. In short, Suricata Safari is the perfect choice for an unforgettable journey through Serengeti and Ngorongoro. A huge thank you to Elias and our incredible chef for making this trip so special.
