The tour was messy and poorly executed.
Firstly, we had communicated with the tour operator to start the tour at 10am. However our guide wasn’t informed of this and showed up at our hotel at 9am. She called our room multiple times and we ended up rushing to get ready to meet her earlier.
Unfortunately it started raining in the afternoon and the tour had to be cut short at 2pm. As such we only visited half of the attractions.
The guide herself, although being nice, also executed the tour poorly. At one of the shops, I had stopped to look at scarves however decided not to purchase them. Despite me rejecting them multiple times, she together with the seller, continuously pushed me into trying on different ones. I understand if it is just the seller doing that as that’s their job but as the tour guide, why is she trying to upsell me the scarves too? That left a really bad taste in my mouth unfortunately.
Other than that, she was fairly knowledgeable about the different attractions and history of Tashkent and we did learn a lot.
However for $300, I’m not sure if I’d recommend this tour.
