Dysart House, Kempton, beherbergt seit November 2015 die Old Kempton Distillery. Vor Ort stellen wir eine Vielzahl von Spirituosen her, darunter; Single Malt Whisky, Gin und Liköre. Alles aus 100 % tasmanischen Zutaten. Das Café voller hausgemachter Leckereien ist von 10 bis 16 Uhr geöffnet, ebenso wie die Kellertür - voller tasmanischer Produkte, unserer Spirituosen und lokalen Weine.

I have recently completed a distilling training course at Old Kempton. The experience was awesome and the food and hospitality was next level. If you are planning a visit to the region, be sure to plan to visit Old Kempton for a tasting and a meal you will not be disappointed.

We arrived between tours on a Saturday, but were offered a private tour of the distillery as they were not busy (no extra cost). We had a fantastic tour with Cody. We learnt about the history of the property and its owners in addition to a very detailed explanation of the distilling process. The distillery is small and while only the latter parts of the distilling process are carried out at Old Kempton, we found the explanation of the processes to be very informative, with Cody being very knowledgable and entertaining at the same time. He also shared a great deal of knowledge during our gin tasting. We ordered the antipasto platter for two for lunch. It was truely amazing, with both lots of variety and food. The young lady in the tasting room was also extremely friendly and helpful. While the historic and beautiful property is the perfect location for the distillery, it is the staff that really made this a memorable experience.

Partner and I were late due to roadworks, team at distillery were able to work around us and go on with the tour when we arrived, lovely people so friendly and accommodating. Will definitely go back again if I get the chance.
