Bhutan zu besuchen war eine der besonderen Erfahrungen meines ganzen Lebens. Von dem Moment an, als wir ankamen, fühlte sich das Land zutiefst beabsichtigt, friedlich und anders als anderswo, wo ich jemals war. Wir hatten unglaubliches Glück, einen außergewöhnlichen Führer, Tenzin, und Fahrer, Sherab, zu haben. Sie empfingen uns mit solcher Wärme und Großzügigkeit und lehrten uns so viel über die bhutanische Kultur, Geschichte und das tägliche Leben – von der buddhistischen Philosophie bis zur Bedeutung hinter Gebetsfahnen und Dzong-Architektur.
Tenzin und Sherab sind wirklich zwei der besten Menschen, die ich je getroffen habe. Sie sind nicht nur außergewöhnlich kenntnisreich über Bhutan, sondern auch nachdenklich, freundlich, fröhlich und tief in den Werten verankert, die Bhutan so besonders machen. Mit ihnen zu reisen fühlte sich weniger wie eine Tour an und mehr wie willkommen in einer Lebensweise, die auf Achtsamkeit, Gastfreundschaft und Fürsorge für andere ausgerichtet ist.
Unsere Reise führte uns von Thimphu nach Punakha und endete in Paro, und jeder Ort fühlte sich unverwechselbar und unvergesslich an. Wir liebten es, bhutanisches Essen zu erleben und lokale Gerichte wie Ema Datshi und traditionellen Buttertee zu probieren. World Tour Plan war unglaublich aufmerksam bei der Organisation von Mahlzeiten, die unsere Ernährungsbeschränkungen und Allergien entsprach.
Die Hotels waren wunderschön, und jeder Ort, an dem wir übernachtet haben, hatte seinen eigenen Charakter und Gefühl der Ruhe. Einer der absoluten Höhepunkte der Reise war das Wandern zum Tigernest Kloster, ein Erlebnis, das ebenso spirituell bewegend wie atemberaubend war.
Bhutan hinterließ einen tiefen Eindruck bei uns, und wir können es schon kaum erwarten, zurückzukehren. Wenn wir das tun, werden wir unsere Reise durch World Tour Plan unbedingt wieder organisieren. Diese Reise war in jeder Hinsicht unvergesslich.
We were collected at the airport by our guide, Kinley Tenzin, and our driver, Passon. These two guys kept us safe, happy and entertained over our 10 day trip throughout Bhutan. We were fortunate to have Tenzin as a guide as, not only is he very knowledgeable about all the sites we visited, but would adapt the trip if we wanted to make changes. If we wanted an extra hike, he would quickly arrange things, pop his boots on and off we’d go. We wanted to find decent coffee and he would hunt down the best cafe in town. He would never let us carry anything and insist on putting items in his backpack. These are personal touches that make the difference. He also shared his thoughts on the culture and people of Bhutan which allowed us to feel even more involved in the whole experience. We visited Paro, the Phobjikha
Valley, Punakha, Thimphu and many places in between. Temples, castles, nunneries, Tiger Nests, hikes, meditation, yoga, rafting. We fit a lot into a relatively short tour. The owner of the tour operator, Sunita, constantly checked in with our guide to make sure all was going smoothly and even arranged some time to meet us personally and make sure we were happy.
All in all we had a very good experience with World Tour Plan and am grateful for the wonderful trip they organised for us. I wish them success in the future.
It was a great experience travelling to Bhutan. Moreover the facilities provided by the company was excellent. The guide and the driver who came for the airport pickup was humble and had very good work ethics.They accompanied me throughout my tour in Bhutan. The hotel i halted,had best hospitality. The places i visited were very beautiful, rich in natural resources. The valleys, mountains and the rivers were breathtaking . The company had planned my visit very wisely. I got to see different ethnic group of Bhutanese people , who were very down to earth. The tour operator is very professional to have managed everything in limited time and not to forget it was worth the money.
