Nordlicht-Abenteuer mit Grönländer, max. 8 Personen

The best think I can say about Greenlander is “WOW!!!”. They absolutely will do everything in their power to find the Aurora for you regardless of the weather and driving conditions. We booked two consecutive nights with Greenlander and the weather was wholly challenging both nights, including hard snow throughout the day for the second tour. Both Matteo and Markus consulted multiple web sites and used their expertise to move us to locations where the skies would be clear enough to give us a good possibility of seeing the lights. Thanks to their efforts we saw the Northern Lights both nights. The nature of the lights was different each night and I was utterly transfixed. It was great of Matteo to provide an explanation of the mechanics behind the lights and the colors produced while we were waiting for full darkness. Arrangements for both tours were perfectly executed, even with Markus reaching out with the horrid weather on the second night to see if we would be available earlier to drive to Finland where chances of seeing the lights were at least a possibility (we had GREAT viewings!!) They provide tripods, boots and Arctic suits for your comfort. The campfire, warm drinks and the warm soup are welcome additions to the adventure but the main feature of the evening are the Northern Lights. I will forever be grateful to Markus and Matteo for their knowledge and diligent efforts to put is in the right location to experience a wonder I’ve dreamed of since childhood. If you are in Tromso and want to maximize your chances of seeing the northern lights, this is the company to choose. On a snowy and cloudy night in Tromso, Markus took us through Norway, Finland and finally Sweden to make sure we saw the northern lights. Markus kept us informed as to the what and why of what he was doing. And he was just fun to talk with! We not only saw the lights, but also benefited from his skill as a photographer. A day or two after the trip he posted his pictures for download. They were outstanding and much better than ours! In addition there was a slight billing issue and Markus stayed on it until it was resolved. An all around outstanding experience and we will most certainly book tours with Greenlander on our next trip to Tromso!!

JJ was our guide for this evening tour and he was excellent. Following research he made base at a lovely setting by the water. It was incredibly cold -15, so the snowsuit, fire and soup were very welcome. The lights did not show themselves for 3 hours by which time we were losing hope but then there they were! Amazing. There was a full moon so we could only see the lights through a camera. We all felt very lucky and happy to have seen the lights and very happy with JJ and Greenlander.
