I did the Trolltunga Autumn Day Hike with Celine (+ canine companion Lexie) and Julie as guides. There were eight of us on the trip, accompanied by the two guides, for a total of ten people + one dog.
We were fortunate to get pristine weather in late October - the days prior had been full of rain and the forecast looked gloomy in the future as well.
The trail became gradually covered in snow and ice as we ascended, though never enough to need anything like snowshoes. Poles and microspikes were provided for the icier sections, though our guides demonstrated that with enough experience both of these were unnecessary!
In addition to the packed lunch provided, Julie and Celine kept the group well supplied with various Norwegian snacks throughout the eight ours (+ one hour at Trolltunga for lunch and pictures) and did a great job of managing the speed of the group, always keeping one of them at the front and one at the rear.
This was a highlight of my trip to Norway and easily one of the best hikes I've ever done. Don't hesitate to join this even as a solo traveler, the group dynamic was very welcoming.
