Chobe-Tagesausflug, Botswana

I had the pleasure of taking a full day Chobe Tour with Kalahari Tours. Upon arriving at the basecamp, we were given a light breakfast of pastries, fruit and tea/coffee. Afterwards, we took a 3-hour boat safari on the Chobe River. I was not looking forward to the boat safari but by the end I was super excited that I gave it a chance. It was such a unique experience and a great way to see animals via water. After the boat safari, we returned back to the basecamp and had a really nice lunch before starting our safari adventure on land. During the lunch I asked if there was a place outside of the basecamp to purchase souvenirs and was told to ask my driver, Sam, if he would stop along the roadside either to or from Chobe National Park with the permission of those in the jeep with me. Sam agreed to stop on our return and he gave us 10 minutes or so to shop. During the afternoon game drive, we were able to see lions, hippos, buffalo, elephants, giraffes, crocs, and plenty of birds. The trip was easy from Livingstone and worth every penny paid. Thanks Sam and all the others at Kalahari Tours.

Would definitely recommend this Chobe Day trip. Saw so many animals, especially elephants. The guides were knowledgable. I booked the Chobe day trip with pickup to and from Vic Falls. The transfers went smoothly. Morning river boat tour and afternoon game drive. The boat had 2 decks, which was good to be able to get different viewing, as well as toilets. Good viewing on the game drive as well. Lunch was included and was plentiful and nice. Water/soft drinks were provided, which was good as it did get hot. Recommend the shop for souvenirs at the Cafe where we stopped for lunch. Be prepared for a big day out, and take sunscreen, and phone/camera. Very glad I did this day trip.

Wir (10-köpfige Familie) haben unsere Chobe-Tour wirklich genossen und Oppie (buchstabieren?), unser Kalahari-Reiseleiter, hat sie unvergesslich gemacht (ich kann ihn nur empfehlen!). Unser Hotel in Livingstone bot Pakete von Kalahari Tours an und beinhaltete: - Kleinbus und Abholung im Hotel - Fahrer nach Botswana - Hilfe (falls nötig) an den Grenzen (wir hatten ein KAZA-Visum vom VFA-Flughafen, das „mehrfache Einreise nach Simbabwe“, Sambia-Urlaub und einen Tagesausflug nach Botswana beinhaltet) - Privater Reiseleiter (Oppie war sein Name und er war an der Grenze zu Botswana hilfreich und hat uns dort abgeholt) - Safarifahrzeug und Fahrt zur Breakfast Lodge – Frühstück inbegriffen - Eintritt in den Wildpark - Bootssafari (mit Oppie), dann Mittagessen am selben Ort wie das Frühstück inbegriffen - Safari-Tour - Bustour zurück zur Grenze zu Botswana - Bustour zurück zum Hotel Geplanter 10-Stunden-/Tagesausflug (wenn man von Livingstone kommt) War absolut wunderbar und hat sich gelohnt! Viel Spaß!
