We went to all of the main filming sights and it was really fun to see them and be there! Our guide was nice and gave us the basic information, but didn't tell us anything extra, like what we were passing as we were driving or anything about the places other than that they were film sights. It was nice to have a driver for the two farther sights, but a lot of the sights were within waking distance in the city.

Small group tours are the best. Our guide Elvis gave us just the right amount of information and answered all our questions. It was a great chance to travel around Salzburg and the surrounding valley and lakes to see the rural environment. Scenery is stunning and location stops for movie points was appropriate. Even the rain and Tour of Austria bike race didn’t impact the appeal.

Our Sound of Music tour was everything we hoped it would be! Our guide, Francesca, was full of knowledge not just about the movie but also Salzburg and the history. We opted for a smaller tour and it was well worth it. Highly recommend!
