    According to tradition, the caves of Sacromonte were built and inhabited by Muslims more than five hundred years ago. Later, after the conquest of Granada, some isolated Moriscos but above all, some newcomers, the gypsies, used them as temporary housing or refuge. Many pilgrims from the Abbey also took refuge in these niches, occasionally. However, since the 18th century, its habitual inhabitants, and those who have mostly contributed to the international fame of the caves, have been the gypsies. The show lasts approximately one hour. Once finished, there is a guided tour of the Albaicin neighborhood (weather permitting). If you are staying in a private dwelling, you must go to the restaurant at 10.00 p.m. at Camino del Sacromonte, 9 (Granada).

No value add by Viator or Tour Operator for this tour. It’s better to directly book a seat with the Flamenco operator and take a Taxi to that place. In our case even our Taxi Pick up which was part of the booking did not show up on time.

No compren son unos estafadores , averiguen bien antes de comprar. Ya hay varias denuncias y muchas personas estafadas . Ellos no son ni operadores solo tercerizan el servicio.

I thought I had booked for a particular cave experience but when I got to the cave it turned out to be a different one. The Flamenco Show was in itself amazing. Getting there was another issue - the Tour operator failed to turn up to the designated spot to pick me up and no communication was received from them at all. The hotel where I had to be picked up from kindly organised a taxi for me which I had to pay for then get reimbursed. Be careful who you book with. In future I'd book directly with the cave if possible.
