For safety reasons, mountain clothing is necessary for this activity. In case you do not have the appropriate clothing you will have the option to rent. The trailhead is only 15 minutes from the city, where the peat bog begins, and multiple wild trails that become more and more challenging appear. After crossing a river, the path goes deeper into the Fuegian forest, where lengas and guindos accompany you as you move towards the tree line in a 600-meter elevation gain climb. The last part of the trail takes place on high-mountain terrain with a challenging incline that finishes when we get to Tempanos lagoon. If the weather is favorable and if the group of hikers is in good condition, we will go around the lagoon to approach the Vinciguerra glacier and look at its cracks and moulins. Afterward, we will take the same trail back to the transfer that will take you to your hotel.

    The guide will pick you up from your hotel. All equipment and clothing will be verified before starting the activity. The trailhead is only 20 minutes from the city center

    Before entering the Valley of Andorra we will pass through Cerro Alarken where several short paths can be taken.
  • 7M99+QG Laguna de los Tempanos, Ushuaia, Tierra del Fuego, Argentina
    The first 3 hours of trekking take place in the Fuegian forest. A climb of 600 meters. will take us to the Laguna de los Tempanos

    After passing through the iceberg lagoon we will arrive at the Vinciguerra Glacier, we´ll spend there about 1 hour and them 3 more hours to get back thru the same path.

I had an unforgettable experience with Arpon Trekking on the Vinciguerra Glacier and Flood Lagoon excursion in Ushuaia, Tierra del Fuego. The team was extremely professional and friendly from the first contact, making sure we were well prepared for the hike. The Vanessa guide demonstrated a great knowledge of the place and conveyed her passion for nature and adventure, which made the experience even more enriching. The hike itself was challenging but very rewarding, and reaching the lagoon of the Floes with the Vinciguerra Glacier as background was just stunning. The beauty of the landscape is indescribable: ice, mountains and crystal clear water in perfect harmony. I definitely recommend Arpon Trekking for those looking for a well-guided and authentic adventure in Ushuaia. I look forward to exploring with them again in the future!”
