If you need transport to Whitney Plantation, don’t use Crescent City. 6 1/2 hours on the bus, of which we had 1 1/4 hrs at Whitney.

Fun and informative driver, extra stop on Laura and Oak alley plantations for drop off of others which enabled us to get a glimose of them too. History at Whitney well told and described. A must!

Great Experience all round . Firstly my young children absolutely loved the driver Larry AKA Bam Bam. They’ve been quoting some of his anecdotes word for word since we returned home. Quite amusing to hear two young English boys trying their hardest to nail his accent.
The Whitney Tour was engaging and the handheld devices were probably more suited for children than a guide as they can go at their own pace . The subject matter wasn’t pleasant , but my two kids aged 6 and 8 took it all in and had lots of questions for me and their mother .
I personally think that another 30 minutes would be ideal before the return pick up. The drop off for food at Oak Alley wasn’t something I was aware of, but was welcomed as the kids were starting to get hungry and a bit restless .
If we were to return to New Orleans we’d definitely book with Crescent City again.
