We start with a short drive to a village pond where you can spot Lesser Whistling-Ducks, Egrets, Herons, Moorhens, and more. On the way, we'll stop at a paddy field to see Lapwings, Kingfishers, Sparrows, and Bitterns. Then, we head to Langkawi's highest peak to observe Great Hornbills, Wreathed Hornbills, and other rainforest birds, with the Great Hornbill being the largest bird in Langkawi. Afterward, we return to the hotel.

  • For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
  • This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

Our guide Venosha was very knowledgeable, very helpful and friendly and good at spotting birds! We saw a wide range of bird species in different habitats. A good number of the species were new to me even though I have been doing a lot of birdwatching on this trip. The organisation was very good - easy to deal with over WhatsApp and hotel pick-up/drop-off made it very easy for us.

This was our second birdwatching tour with Janosha from Junglewalla tours. Again it was excellent. She went out of her way to tailor the tour to our interests and we saw some magnificent birds including all 3 species of hornbills very active in the 30 minutes before sunset. We also greatly appreciated the flexibility of our driver. Highly recommended.

Venosha was just wonderful, having great knowledge and commutative skills, we soon ticked off over 40 species. A thoroughly enjoyable afternoon, would certainly recommend if you love nature
