  • Jodipan Colorful Village, Malang, Indonesia
    We will pick up all participant from any places in malang city. The journey to Tumpak Sewu waterfall will takes for about 2-2.5 hours depend on traffict. We will passing Jodipan colorfull village (without stop). The driver/tour leader will tell you an inspiring story of Jodipan colorful village.
  • Mount Semeru Volcano, Malang, Indonesia
    We will see the beautiful view of Semeru mountain on the road, if you want to capture some picture we could stop for about 5-10 minutes.
  • Tumpak Sewu Waterfall, Lumajang, Indonesia
    After arrived in Tumpak Sewu area, car will be parked in parking lot. We will take a rest for 5-10 minutes, then walking for about 10 minutes to panorama view. After capturing some pictures at Panorama view, we will do trekking for about 50 minutes downhill to reach the buttom of Tumpak Sewu waterfall. ITINERARY: 07:00 - 07:30 Pick up all participants from any places in Malang city. 07:30 - 10:00 Go to Tumpak Sewu, passing Jodipan colorful village (without stop) and enjoy the view of Mount Semeru the highest point in Java island (can stop for 5-10 minutes). 10:00 - 12:00 Hiking to the botom of Tumpak Sewu waterfall (down hill). 12:00 - 14:00 Hiking to Goa Tetes cave and passing Tetes waterfall (can stop for 10-15 minutes). 14:00 - 15:00 Hiking back to parking lot (up hill). 15:00 - 17:30 Back to Malang city.

Tumpak Sewu is an unforgettable place, it is not easy to go there or reach to different places in the area. Especially at times you have to walk through unforgiving path by holding a rope or a rock while fast flowing water reaches your knees, nevertheless, the prize at the end is just astonishing. Words fail to describe the beauty you can see there. Our trip there was seamless and our local guide was expert finding easiest paths and taking amazing photos. I can highly recommend Smartway ID if you plan to go to Tumpak Sewu.

Our trip to the waterfall was a relly great experience. We got picked up by a car at our hotel in Malang at had to switch to scooters a few minutes before the waterfall, since the normal bridge is destroyed right now. But the scooter ride by the locals was quite fun. Our tour guide for the waterfall was really good and funny. He knew a lot about the nature and was always there to help us. The waterfall and the goa tetes were amazing and soo beautiful. We can really recommend to trip to everyone!

SUCH an incredible experience at Tumpak Sewu. Great communication with the tour company, incredible falls (seriously have never seen anything quite like this) and lovely tour guides/drivers (although their English is limited). It’s an adventurous journey through the falls so be ready to climb, get soaked, and scramble on rocks - but SO worth it. I’m a solo female traveler and felt safe the entire time with their guides. Also the tour company is really wonderful, communicative, and flexible. I missed my flight to Malang and they worked with me to move back both of the tours I booked at no extra cost. Absolutely would book with them again!
