Learn about the history of Lyon from Roman times to the Renaissance and discover the city from another angle, in the heart of the historic districts. Discover the old town of Lyon, "Vieux Lyon", part of the city’s historic region that is now a designated UNESCO World Heritage, where you will be introduced to the city’s unique covered walkways, known as “traboules.” On an extended 2-hour tour, visit the area of "Presqu'île", which is at the heart of the city and continue along the banks of the Rhone to enjoy a panoramic view of the hills of Fourviere and Croix-Rousse. Hear stories, historical facts, and anecdotes, as you explore some of the highlights of the city. Up to 2 adults and one child under 6 years old. 1 or 2-hour guided tour. We did this tour the end of March with Didec. It was a supperb introduction to old Lyon and we were well oriented to the layout and the history of this lovely city right away. Didec was a great hot, fun to be with and very interested in teaching us about his city. It would be impossible to duplicate what he showed us along with his commentary by using a guidebook. It was worth every duro we spent.

Mickael nous attendait au point de rdv . Il nous a raconté l'histoire de la ville ,accompagné dans une echoppe de soie , montré des vieux outils, une traboule, et plein d'autres choses encore! Enfin ,pour nous arranger , il nous a déposé dans le quartier de notre hotel ! Ce fut agréable instructif et insolite !

The young man that was our pedicab driver was so knowledgeable about Old Town Lyon and so interesting to listen to. It was a fantastic tour.
