  • Easy. This program will run from the high Andean Mountains to the Tropical Rainforest of the Amazon, which involves the hiking in flat areas of the Amazon, hike down the Pastaza canon to the Pailon Del Diablo waterfall for 1 km. Optional hike up to Chimborazo Volcano Base Camp 5000m.

  • Guides are certified as Wilderness First Aid Responders. We carry a complete first aid kit.
  • All prices are based on double-occupancy. If you are travelling solo, you will be matched with another participant of your same gender. If you prefer to have a single room, please contact AJ prior to your departure to arrange your accommodation at an extra cost.
  • Traveling with Adventure Journeys you will have the possibility to experience and taste local food and snacks. Your guide will help you identify typical food and suggest the best places to enjoy it. Some meals are not included in order to give you some flexibility about where what and with whom to eat. You have the option to share these meals with the group, however, there is no obligation to do this. If you have any allergies or food restrictions, please inform AJ prior to your departure.
  • Clients receive a conservationist interpretation of the ecology of the Ecuadorian Amazon Rainforest and the factors that threaten it. We aim to promote long-term conservation to support responsible ecotourism as a sustainable alternative to surrendering to the oil industry's destructive appetites. We transport out and recycle all non-organic garbage.

    All my Ecuadorian trip was amazing, it’s so difficult to choose one place as a favorite.Amazonia and Andes and Quito with full of gold churches and Cuenca… I enjoyed each destination to the fullest. The hotels where very good, excellent food, no complaints at all, just wonderful time

    Just completed a great 10 day tour of Ecuador. The tour was very much as described in the literature. We went to so many highlights of Ecuador. We stayed at such great lodging, city hotels, Haciendas and even an eco lodge in the amazonian rain forest. Our guide Rafael was always well prepared, helped us at every step of the tour, prepared us every day for our upcoming adventures and helped us so much as we tried to improve our Spanish vocabulary. Of course, his english was very, very good. is knowledge of the Ecuadorian history (and the history before this land became Ecuador) was incredible. He was more than competent, he was fun, and he knew just when to leave us on our own. These guys were easy to work with from the planning stage right through to dropping us off at the airport on the last day of our tour. For a great experience I would recommend using these guys.     My 8 year old daughter and I took this trip together and we loved everything from beginning to end. The guides are knowledgeable, kind and patient. The sights are beyond beautiful. We saw an incredible number of animals in the Galapagos including a marine iguana swimming and climbing up a ladder to a dock. The sea lions ate hilarious to watch and so fun to see while snorkeling. Our time in the Amazon was amazing and unlike anywhere else we have been. This was the best trip EVER!!!
