The Guide turned up out of breath barely on time. The group then spent long minutes while he sorted out and scanned the tickets of those who had pre-booked - 20+ of us. Of the remainders, those who had cash then bought a ticket and the rest were directed to hurry to the nearest cash point near Debenhams about 200 yards away. The group had now become well over 30. At the price charged this is totally unacceptable .

An excellent tour with our guide Ally. He was very clued up on the history of Oxford with plenty of anecdotes. Not a dull moment.

This afternoon we spent a very enjoyable 90 minutes with Simon, who gave us a walking tour of Oxford focussing on literary and historical aspects of the area around the University. Colleges. Simon adapted the tour to our interests and had a wealth of knowledge to answer an questions we had on any subject. Extremely knowledgeable and interesting guide who I would recommend to anyone with an interest in literary history.
