Mahamuni Pagoda, Mandalay, Myanmar In the morning, your driver will pick you up at your hotel and escort you to the first stop - Mahamuni Pagoda, one of the most sacred pagodas in Myanmar. The gilded bronze Buddha sculpture inside, considered the real Buddha by locals, attracts not only tourists but also crowds of believers to visit and pray for fortune and health. You will see lots of devotees sitting on heels and praying piously. 60 minutes
Mahagandayon Monastery, Amarapura, Myanmar Afterward, you will head to Mahagandayon Monastery, the largest monastery and a famous Buddhist College in Myanmar. The monks here seriously follow the Buddhist discourses of not take food after midday, and eat two meals a day at 04:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. At around 10:00 a.m. every morning, thousands of monks will line up along the road and walk in the monastery for collecting alms-food and having the meal. Dha Kya Di Tar Convent, Sagaing, Myanmar Next, you will be escorted to Sagaing and get close to the Buddhist nuns at Dha Kya Di Tar Convent, a famous local nunnery where novices get educated.
