    Bruce Belcher’s Daintree River Cruises offer a one-hour wild life cruise. We are enthusiastic, honest, exciting and informative. We are keen bird watchers and have a good eye for crocodiles and tree snakes, with crocodiles being spotted on 98% of trips, particularly in cooler months. We don't provide Daintree bird watching tours however the native bird life in the Daintree is abundant.

  • Guests must be capable to walk 200-250 Mtrs to boat on a gravel path that has slight inclines, declines & steps.
You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.

Before leaving Melbourne, I was advised I HAD to go on Bruce's Crocodile tour up the Daintree (mind you, it was a cousin of his who told me about it!) The heavens opened about an hour before we got on the boat, but as soon as we placed our arses on the seat, the rain stopped, the sun came out, and we had the most fantastic tour of the exquisite river, with a great display of crocs, kingfishers, tree snakes, and herons displaying their frog catching abilities, with Bruce's son (forgive me for forgetting his name) as an excellent and very knowledgeable guide. He had eyes like a hawk, able to see the tiniest birds from 50 metres, while we struggled to see them from about 5 metres :-( I would highly recommend this trip for ANY age group. Oh, and Shazza at the shop was brilliant with a great selection of souvenirs at very reasonable prices!!! We will be back ;-)

What a great way to discover these wonderful creatures. Our guide took us out for our cruise up the river where we spotted several crocodiles of different ages, sex and rank. We were taken as close as we could to the crocs without disturbing them, and the commentary was fun and informative. Cannot describe how enjoyable this trip was for our family. The guide, crocs and trip overall was so amazing, and our two teens loved it just as much as is.
