My tours usually end in the most beautiful part of Mainz.
Markt, Mainz, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany The tour begins on the magnificent cathedral square where we will see colourful, ornately decorated old houses and the beautiful renaissance well. If we are lucky, we will also experience the traditional farmers' market which still takes place here every Tuesday, Friday and Saturday (until 14:00) as it has for centuries. 15 minutes
Mainz Cathedral, Mainz, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany For over a thousand years the mighty St. Martin's cathedral has towered over the ancient city of Mainz. Here kings have been crowned and the Protestant Reformation was kindled. Discover its many unique features, hear about its dramatic history and meet headless St. Alban in the cloisters. 60 minutes
Kirschgarten, Mainz, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany From the cathedral we will stroll through the nearby pedestrianised old town ("Altstadt"). We will walk along the romantic winding lanes of the medieval part of the city and discover picturesque little squares such as the Cherry Orchard ("Kirschgarten") with its half-timbered houses. 45 minutes
