Prepare to put up with a lot of hassle, the Eygtion museum is great and the pyramids were good but the entrance outside is very scruffy and run down and very well organised. We hassled the moment we arrived by people trying to sell us sovenours, cario itself is very run down and I witnessed a lot of poverty. Basically see the pyramids and Eygtion museum and get out of cario as quickly as possible

From pickup to drop off, a seamless, wonderful, inspiring experience. What can I say, as a solo traveller options can sometimes be limited but I’ve grown to trust Viator over the years and Egypt is now near top of the list thanks to their choice of tour group Horus. O Excellent communication from start to finish, a nice touch was Horus checking in via what’s app during the the 2 days to see if I was enjoying myself, needed anything and even to apologise for a 4 minute delay on pickup one morning. If you’ve seen Cairo traffic at rush hour it’s a wonder anything can be on time but it is! Lunch was an experience in middle east/arab cuisine, fresh and tasty although some drinks included be nice-though not pricey anyway. A special thanks to Ahmed(micha) and Mahmoud for the lifts, laughs, debates and coffees! Hassle free browsing too, with little badgering as Ahmed fended traders off firmly but politely. In summary, Ahmed has forgotten more Egyptology than I will ever know but I’ve left Cairo wiser and with more humility than I arrived with, I will return!
