My fiancé and I were in Charleston, SC for a wedding, but one of our top recommendations while in the area was to take a walking tour and this one definitely did not disappoint! Our tour guide was Mark Jones and he was absolutely fantastic! He was born and raised in Charleston, has been a tour guide for 15+ years, and even researches and writes books about the area - a true historian of Charleston and he completely made our tour. He showed us all of the key sights in the area (i.e. the Battery, Rainbow Row, etc.), discussed the history, architecture, and everything in between. I highly recommend this tour, especially with Mark - you will be missing out if you don't do this tour!

It was a great tour with lots of interesting information. It made me like Charleston more - prior to the tour I was feeling a bit overwhelmed by the touristy areas of Charleston but this tour made be want to go back to visit some of the historic areas.

The tour was great, our guide was Wendy and she was entertaining. She had a great storytelling style that made history enjoyable. The tour was well-paced and lasted about 2 hours. Wendy was awesome with taking pictures and finding the right spots for it too. Definitely recommend it as an activity to do in Charleston.
