Through the first portion of our tour, the bike path nestles up to golf courses, well manicured parks, frisbee golf courses, multiple lakes, and a popular skate park called "The Wedge". On the way to Tempe Town Lake we ride under a few tunnel underpasses and enjoy a some gradual inclines and declines on the bike path. Then you'll cruise by the Tempe Marina and see the boats as you take the bike path towards Papago Park. The scenery makes a dramatic shift to an iconic desert landscape as we enter Papago Park. We usually see road runners (birds) on this portion of the tour, meep meep! The smooth concrete bike path meanders through a unique frisbee golf course that is rocky with maroon colors. Ahead on a hill top, we see an on oddly placed pyramid; the tomb of George W.P. Hunt, Arizona's first Governor. Then we make our way to The Hole in the Rock. Your group will hop off your bikes and leave them with the tour guide and walk about 5 minutes up the trail to the look out point.

  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
  • This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund.

Our guide, Jonathan was super knowledgeable (he missed his calling being like a historian or teacher) bikes were super easy to learn. Very accommodating also! They had these super genius vest for after to cool down. It’s a super early adventure but makes it easy with traffic and beating the heat We made a suggestion to attach a GoPro to the guide to capture moments of the tourists as it’s super dangerous to do so yourself. We did stop and take a few pics and he was even very considerate and would ask if we needed to stop for water or a break.

Just the right amount of time. Easy to navigate an E bike. Nice overview of Scottsdale and Tempe. Hike to the Hole in the rock, not a difficult hike. Very enjoyable tour. Our guide was very nice and full of the surrounding history.
