The breathtaking facade of the cathedral is beyond admirable but knowing the story of almost every parts of the Duomo from a very passionate and expert guide who bring to life the stories of every stones, statues, red light bulb stone and stained glass windows, among others. There was a lift up to a certain part of the cathedral but we where informed that there will still be stairs to climb - but is did not matter because listening continuously to our guide about the history of the church kept my mind off the heat and steps I made.. I did not even realize we are already at the highest part of the cathedral "Rooftop Terraces". The on-going renovation though limited us to see the other parts but its ok, there will be some other time.
