Burundi is not a common destination for Americans and frankly I was a bit nervous. This country deserves more than the three days we spent there. Wasting no time, Hippo, our guide picked us up whisked us off to Parc National de la Rusizi. He communicated well in English and was able to explain the historical background and future trajectory for Burundi. We covered much of the country including the Chautes de la Karena and the source of the Nile. I would highly recommend Burundi to any adventurer who is looking for a less touristy destination in Africa.

La plupart des sites touristiques sont très remarquables: 1. la pierre Livingstone-Stanley ( les deux explorateurs européens d'avant la colonisation) 2. les sanctuaires de Muramvya, Giheta,.... 3. les bons plages très impressionnant avec un bon climat 4. Plusieurs lacs se trouvant au Burundi 5. les musées 6. le palais royal 7. les tambourinaires,......
