We recently did a desert tour in Morocco and really enjoyed the experience overall. The landscapes were breathtaking, especially watching the sunset and sunrise over the dunes. The tour was 3 days, and covered everything from the Todras Gorges, Ifrain, the Atlas Mountains, the Sahara Desert and everything in between. While the drives were long, our guide made sure to stop for sites and lunches as much as possible all along the way, so the ride was fun and enjoyable. We opted for an ATV ride rather than riding a camel, for ethical reasons, which was a really fun way to experience the dunes! We stayed in a beautiful hotel the first night and in the luxury camp the second, which was a fun experience to meet other travellers and enjoy a drum show! The organization of the tour was solid, and we didn't have to plan anything. The guides were friendly and knowledgeable, and we appreciated learning more about the local culture and traditions along the way. If you're curious about the desert and want to experience something different and scenic, this is a great way to do it!
