    The 3-hour tour will begin with a short preview with a brief questions and answers portion and next, we will began our driving tour of the civil right sites throughout the city of Montgomery. We will work our way past the historical Dexter Avenue King Memorial Baptist Church where Martin Luther King Jr helped to organize the Montgomery Bus Boycott in the church's basement and also a short drive away the Dexter Baptist Church Parsonage, which served as home to twelve pastors of the church between 1920 and 1992. The group will also see Alabama State Capitol, First Baptist Church, Alabama State University, Trinity Lutheran Church, Ms. Rosa Parks Apartment, Greyhound Bus Station, Holt Street Baptist Church, if time will allow. Our private professional tour guide will show you the best of Montgomery Alabama has to offer. Note: This is a Private driving tour that uses my van.

Jake was our guide and it was just my wife and I. He took the time to give us a lot of background information before the tour started and made a point of asking regularly if we had questions. After the tour he took us to an awesome place for lunch and ice cream since he didn’t have an afternoon tour! We would definitely recommend him! Thank you Jake !

We loved our tour with Jake! He was great at detailing the history of Montgomery and its importance within civil rights. He has so much knowledge from growing up during that time and also being a history major in college. Jake was gracious and accommodated a stop at the Rosa Parks museum for our kids which they enjoyed also. And it was wonderful to be in the air conditioned van during the summer heat! Jake also introduced us to a great lunch spot that had amazing Southern food!

There’s something special about hearing about Montgomery’s civil rights history from a lifelong resident like Jake who lived through some of the most turbulent times. Jake was thoughtful, he gave a detailed and informative presentation of Montgomery’s place in the civil rights movement, and he drove us carefully and expertly around Montgomery to many historic sites. We did not expect this tour to include facts about Montgomery beyond those related to the civil rights movement, but we were happy that Jake also gave us an overview of Montgomery and even Alabama. Our group of six adults give an enthusiastic thumbs up.
