At its height, the Cu Chi Tunnels system stretched over 250km from Ho Chi Minh City to the Cambodian border and was three levels deep. The network included innumerable trap doors, specially constructed living areas, storage facilities, weapons factories, field hospitals, command centers and kitchens.

As a first time traveler to Ho Chi Minh City, I needed guidance for the best places to visit. Katie at ASIANA LINK TRAVEL provided me with excellent suggestions regarding restaurants, shopping and sightseeing. Katie told me about Vietnam’s historical significance and booked me on their tour of the Cu Chee Tunnels. Her kind and knowledgeable advice was a game changer for me. Katie told me the tour would be a small group for an intimate experience. Dominic the tour guide, picked me up in the Asiana Link Travel van right on time at my hotel. On the way to the site, he gave us an easy to understand synopsis of the Vietnam War. He provided fascinating details of the Viet Cong’s 246 kilometers tunnel system and how it was used in their military campaign. The actual tunnel visit is a can’t miss experience. Dominic explained how the tunnels were built, and at every stop in the jungle showed us examples of the hidden entrances and booby traps. Along the one-hour tour, he showed concern for our group of seven and made sure we stayed together. My thanks to Katie and Dominic for making this tour an amazing, unforgettable experience. Had a great morning tour through the Cu Chi tunnels. We were able to go through the tunnels and experience the traps and hiding spots of the VC, while not waiting long. Thank you James for being an amazing guide and Thao for the driving!
