I had the perfect trip with Regulus Treks & Expedition. Travelling as a solo female traveller, I booked the 7 days, 6 nights tour and I wouldn’t change a thing!
Day 1) Reaching Kathmandu and travel to Nagarkot. When booking a flight to Kathmandu, you should check online from which side of the plane you can see the Himalayan mountains (depends on where you are traveling from). I had a magical view of the Himalayan peaks coming out of the cloudy sky. This was the best view I had on the mountains during my whole trip.
Day 2) Nagarkot – Sightseeing spot for Himalayan mountain range. Unfortunately, it was a cloudy day so I couldn’t see the Himalayan mountains, but I imagine it has to be amazing since the view from the hotel terrace is very wide.
Day 3) Kathmandu and Travel to Chitwan National Park. In the morning time, we visited to the old town of Kathmandu. Even though many old buildings were destroyed in the earthquake of 2015, restauration is going on and the old town is worth the visit. After visiting Kathmandu’s old town we started our journey to Chitwan. Even a long car ride is a beautiful experience in Nepal. As a person who loves the mountains, I enjoyed the beautiful Nepalese landscape a lot. For lunch, I enjoyed delicious Nepalese Thali including a beautiful view. After reaching Chitwan, we went for an evening walk and I was very lucky to spot a rhino at close range refreshing itself on the river bank.
Day 4) Chitwan National Park. I decided to take the canoe trip in the morning (the other option is the elephant safari) and the jeep Safari in the evening. For me, the canoe trip was one of the highlights of my trip in Nepal. With the canoe gliding through the water only a few cm above the water, we were passing by several crocodiles which were only a few meters away. When we set off early in the morning, the sun rose behind the dense fog, which gave the whole setting a magical atmosphere. During the beautiful Jeep Safari, we spotted deer, elephants, rhinos, crocodiles, birds and, as a highlight, two small bears.
Day 5) Ride to Pokhara. After reaching Pokhara in the afternoon, I had time to roam the city, to have some delicious food and to spend time at one of the beautiful lakes. Pokhara is a touristy city, so you will find many souvenir shops, restaurants and bars. The city is definitely worth a visit.
Day 6) After getting up early in the morning before sunrise, we went to the Sarangkot Sightseeing spot. Again, I was unlucky to see the Himalaya Mountains, since the foggy weather didn’t allow. As this kind of weather is very typical for Nepal, you should be prepared that you may not see the Mountains during a one week trip. If that’s okay for you, you will definitely enjoy your Nepal trip.
Day 7) Going back to Kathmandu, including visit of Manakamana Temple on the way between Pokhara-Kathmandu. The visit of Manakamana temple was not included in the trips overall price, but I decided to go there spontaneously. To reach the temple you have to go uphill with a cable car. The costs for international travellers I found quite expensive with around 20 USD. Still I was happy that I went, as you have a nice view from the cable car and also visiting one of the major temple sites of Nepal was a highlight. If you have time, you can enjoy a meal in the village.
Day 8) Kathmandu – Self organised. I decided to extend my trip and stayed one more day in Kathmandu. If you have enough time, I definitely can recommend this as you have more time to roam the streets of Kathmandu on your own, visiting temple sites and have a break at one of the many nice cafés or restaurants.
Day 9) Farewell from Kathmandu and (organised) transfer to the airport.
Résumé. The complete trip was perfectly organised. I didn’t face any problems and always felt very safe. The choice of hotels and places was very well thought and I always felt very comfortable.
Many thanks to Rubi & Madan who were always there for me, answering all my queries as well as adjusting the trip to my wishes. I wish you all the best and I hope we will meet again. Many thanks to Amrit as well who was always friendly, helpful and drove me safely everywhere.

I joined this tour and golf in Royal Nepal Golf Club. The tour was well organized especially the golf was arranged on early morning the day I left Nepal as the golf club is adjacent to Kathmandu airport. It saved me much transportation and playing time. I highly recommend Regulus treks & Expedition to everyone visiting Nepal.
