This tour waa incredible and well worth the price. We saw pretty nuch everything that you would want to see if you're going to Ireland to discover as much of the country as possible in 6 days, without having to worry about driving or accommodations. We had Vincent as a driver for the first 3 days and Ian for the last 3 days. They were both extremely kind and knew the best spots to take amazing pictures. One of the people in our tour for sick on the first day and Vincent took care of taking her to the hospital and followed up with her regularly. Ian was extremely funny and cery knowledgeable, we learned a lot about Ireland and the Gaelic laguage with him, he was a fan favorite on the bus and knew everyone by their names. Fully recommend this tour.
The whole trip was memorable because we were able to see so many different sites plus Learn a lot about the history of Ireland. Our tour guide Danny was one of the best tour guides we have had, he was very knowledgeable and friendly to everyone making sure we all had what we needed. The best part is when he told some of the stories/legends coming from Ireland and we could see the land reflected in those stories. My favorite part was learning about and visiting derry :)
It’s been quite an experience from start to finish. We did the 6-day tour of Ireland. Overall, it’s a convenient way to see Ireland. We loved that no one had to worry about driving, or navigating the often times narrow and hectic roads. We were chartered to all major sights without having to worry about a thing. Our tour guide would hand us our tickets, tell us a time to be back, and we were set off to explore. Super hassle-free and convenient.
The first day we were on a smaller bus with about 20 people to Belfast. Gordon was more than willing to share his knowledge with us. I would say that it’s important to be on time during each spot because they have a pretty strict schedule, and they will leave you if you are more than 15 minutes late.
On the second day, we were picked up in a larger bus with Vincent. For the next 2 days, we traveled to Belfast and Derry on a large bus as a group of 5! It was amazing. Vincent gave us leeway in our daily itinerary, and we got to see a bunch of cool stuff along the way!
Days 4-6, we met up with the rest of our group, so our itinerary was a little more structured. I will say that Vincent did a
great job of allowing us bathroom breaks frequently. We rarely went over an hour without a stop for the entirety of the trip.
The hotels were all basic, most were clean, and all were centrally located. Once we parked for the night, we were able to walk everywhere in the town. It’s important to note that the Dingle Peninsula is not actually the town of Dingle, but a tiny street about 18 KM away. There isn’t much to do. There are 5 bars in the entire town, one of them being the Randy Leprechaun, which is owned and operated by Paddy Wagon Tours. They provided live “entertainment” for us. If you like having a creepy, cheesy, older man repeatedly make awkward sexual comments like, “shake your ass and titties” and sing along to American classics, I would highly recommend The Randy Leprechaun. Otherwise, check out one of the other bars for a bit more authenticity.
Our only main complaint was our hotel in Killarney. It was outdated, smelled awful, and had the most uncomfortable beds. Even though we did not choose the backpackers option, we were housed with them because the original hotel was out of space. I encourage Paddy Wagon to find a more suitable alternative for overflow.
Exploring Dingle was a highlight of our trip, and would suggest allowing for additional time in town for exploration. The horse carriage in Killearny National Park and the Black Cab Tour in Belfast were awesome additions. I would strongly suggest doing both, if you’re able. The views in the carriage were stunning, and we learned a lot of history from Keith on our cab tour.
I want to highlight how amazing Vincent was. He was authentically himself, and provided us with laughter, humor, tips, and really heightened the experience for us.
