We booked the food tour for a date in mid September and paid full price at €75 per person. I was very disappointed with this experience as there were very few foods sampled on a tour of this price. A couple of the foods and drinks listed on the itinerary were not offered at all. Our guide bought tomatoes and berries at the market, which are obviously not unique to Romania. While our guide was friendly, I felt like there were a lot of awkward silences while on the tour as well. Compared to other food tours I’ve done around the world, a tour of this price should offer many more food options and should keep the audience engaged. Instead I felt bored and kind of taken advantage of.
